What a SaaS product video is (and what it isn't)

A product video shows a visitor what using your software feels like before they sign up. It's not a feature tour and not a tutorial: it picks the one problem your buyer recognizes, shows your product solving it, and ends on why that matters. People also call it a SaaS explainer video or a product demo video; the name matters less than the job. Someone lands on your homepage, gives it a few seconds, and should leave knowing what you do.

Most SaaS teams end up with one of two things instead. A screen recording is real, but it's slow, cluttered and full of cursor wandering, so a polished product looks like a beta. An automated video made from your URL is fast and cheap, but it works from screenshots of your marketing site and a template everyone else is using, so it rarely shows what happens inside the app. A product video sits between them: it uses your real interface, and it's directed like a launch film.

Your real interface, recreated in HD

We don't record your screen. We rebuild the screens that matter, with your fonts, colors and real copy, so every frame is sharp at any size and the camera can move through the product: push into a table row, follow a notification, let a dashboard fill itself in. Nothing is lagging, nothing is blurred, and there's no test data you'd rather nobody saw.

  • A concept for each client. Every video starts with an idea from your buyer's world, not a template. For a scheduling tool, that might be an email thread that never ends folding into a single link.
  • Claims you can stand behind. Every line in the script comes from your own website, and nothing is final without your approval.
  • From inside the app. With a demo account or screenshots, we show the product your customers actually use, not just your homepage.
  • Finished like a launch. Camera, motion, voice, licensed music and subtitles, at the level of the best SaaS launch videos.

Sample projects

These are brands we invented to show the range, not client work. Slotbird is a web app for scheduling links, told on a 16:9 homepage cut. Evenkeel is a mobile app for group expenses, made vertical for the App Store and social. More in examples.

About this project

Where SaaS teams use it

One video, cut into every format you need. The 9:16 version keeps the important parts inside the safe zone that Reels, TikTok and Stories share, so one vertical file works everywhere.

Launching soon? See our Product Hunt launch video page. Selling in more than one market? The same video works as a multilingual product video, each language with its own native voice.

How it works

  1. 1

Free teaser or a short call

Ask for a free 10–15 second teaser made from your public site, or book 15 minutes. If you prefer, do it all in writing.

  2. 2

    A fixed price

You get a closed quote before anything starts, based on formats, extra languages and voices (two languages are included).

  3. 3

    50% deposit and access

A demo account or screenshots of the screens you want to show. We're happy to sign an NDA.

  4. 4

The full video in 24 hours

Concept, script, voice, music and your real interface. A complete video, not a storyboard or a draft.

  5. 5

    Three rounds of revisions

Adjust pacing, copy, emphasis or music until it's right.

  6. 6

    Every format, then the balance

We deliver every format, ready to publish, and you pay the other 50% when you get the final files.

What's included

  • The main video, up to 60 seconds, with a lightweight version optimized for your website.
  • Formats: 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, plus App Store and Google Play previews for mobile apps.
  • A native-sounding voice in any of 70+ languages, licensed music and subtitles.
  • Three rounds of revisions on the complete video.
  • Full usage rights once it's paid in full: your site, ads, social, app stores, no extra fees.

Your UI will change. The video can keep up.

SaaS products ship every week, and a product video usually goes stale the first time the interface or pricing changes. Ours are built as code: the screens, the copy, the timing and the voice are all editable sources. When your dashboard gets a redesign or a plan changes price, we update those scenes and re-render, instead of starting a new project.

Because each video is code, another format, another language, another voice or a new hook is a re-render, not a new production. A UI or pricing change can be updated in hours.

Updates are quoted one at a time, or as a monthly plan that keeps the video current and adds a short video for each launch.

Pricing

SaaS product videos up to 60 seconds start at USD 200. Two languages are included; the final price depends on formats, extra languages and voices, and you get it fixed before we start: 50% to begin, 50% when we hand over the final files. Updates and the monthly plan are quoted separately.

For context, SaaS video agencies usually quote in the tens of thousands and work in weeks. Our guide on how much a product video costs compares every option, including the ones that aren't us.

Start with a free teaser

The easiest way to judge a product video is to see one of your own product. Send us your website and we'll make a 10–15 second teaser with your brand and interface, free and with no commitment. Get your free teaser.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a SaaS product video and an explainer video?

Mostly the emphasis. A classic explainer often uses illustrated characters and metaphors and barely shows the software. A product video tells the same story through your real interface, so viewers see what they'll actually use. Ours combine both: a concept from your buyer's world, told with your UI.

How long should a SaaS product video be?

For a homepage or launch, 30 to 60 seconds is enough to show one problem, your product solving it and why it matters. Ours run up to 60 seconds, and the vertical and square cuts can be shorter.

Do you need access to our app?

Yes, to show the inside of the product: a demo account, or screenshots of the screens you want to show. We don't need production data, and we can sign an NDA.

Can you really deliver in 24 hours?

Yes. Once the 50% deposit is in and we have access to your product, you get the complete video within 24 hours. Then you have three rounds of revisions.

Is this a screen recording?

No. We recreate your interface in HD, which lets the camera move through it and keeps every frame sharp. It looks like your product, without the lag, the cursor wandering or the test data.

Can we get the video in other languages?

Yes, in any of 70+ languages, each with a native-sounding voice and subtitles. Adding a language to an existing video is a new voice and a re-render, not a new video.

What happens when our UI changes?

Each video is built as code, so we update the scenes that changed instead of starting over. You can ask for a one-off update or take a monthly plan; both are quoted separately.

Who owns the video?

You do, once it's paid in full. Use it on your site, in ads, on social and in app stores with no extra fees. The music is licensed for commercial use.
