Product video prices at a glance
Ask five providers what a 60-second SaaS explainer video costs and you'll get five answers, because they're selling different things. This is what each kind of provider publicly charges, as of October 2026.
| Provider | Typical price | Timeline | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automated tools (from your URL) | USD 29 per video, or USD 29–99 a month | Minutes to same day | A template built from your website's screenshots |
| Templates + doing it yourself | USD 50–300, plus 8–20 hours of your time | A weekend | As good as your editing skills |
| Marketplace freelancers (Fiverr, Upwork) | USD 500–5,000 | 1–4 weeks | Highly variable; often a template or stock style |
| Freelance motion designers | USD 2,000–8,000 | 2–4 weeks | Custom animation to your script, usually one format |
| SaaS video agencies | USD 10,000–50,000 | 4–10 weeks | Strategy, script, custom animation, sound, 2–3 revision rounds |
| Video and design subscriptions | USD 2,000–20,000 a month | Ongoing | A steady stream of assets |
What each option really buys you
Automated tools. Services like supaintro charge USD 29 per video; Motionflare sells monthly plans at USD 29 and USD 99. You paste a URL and get a video the same day. That's a fair deal for a quick social clip or a first test. The limits are real, though: they work from your public website, not from inside your app, and the structure comes from a template, so the result looks a lot like everyone else's.
Doing it yourself. A template plus editing software costs USD 50–300, but expect 8–20 hours of work and some After Effects skill. Screen recording tools sit here too: affordable subscriptions, and you do the work.
Marketplace freelancers. On Fiverr and Upwork, a 60-second explainer usually lands between USD 500 and 5,000, with 1–4 weeks of turnaround. Quality varies more here than anywhere else: the same budget can buy a talented animator or a reskinned template, so look at work that resembles your product, not just the showreel.
Freelance motion designers. Experienced independents typically charge USD 2,000–8,000 and take 2–4 weeks. You usually bring the script, and you get one aspect ratio with limited revisions. Great craft is common at this level; strategy and copywriting usually aren't included.
SaaS video agencies. Full-service studios quote USD 10,000–50,000 and work in 4–10 weeks. Yum Yum Videos surveyed 125 studios and found custom 60-second quotes from USD 2,800 to 27,000, with a median of USD 9,680 and 6–8 weeks of production. Demo Duck puts the range at USD 1,500–50,000 and recommends spending at least USD 16,000. You're paying for a team, strategy, a script and custom illustration. For a brand film or a big funding announcement, that can be the right call.
Subscriptions. Video and design subscriptions run roughly USD 2,000–20,000 a month; Duck.Design's plan that includes motion graphics is USD 1,899 a month. They make sense if you need a constant flow of assets, less so for one great product video.
What drives the price of a product video
- Length. Most quotes are per 60 seconds. Longer videos cost more, and a tight 45 seconds is often harder to write than a loose two minutes.
- Style. Motion graphics over your interface cost less than custom character animation, 3D or a live-action shoot, which is the single biggest multiplier.
- Concept and script. A provider that finds the idea and writes the script charges for it. One that animates your script doesn't.
- Recreating your UI. Showing what happens inside the app, sharp and in motion, takes far more work than animating screenshots of your homepage.
- Voice and languages. A professional voiceover is a line item; every extra language usually means another recording session and another edit.
- Formats. A 16:9 homepage video, a 9:16 cut for Reels and TikTok, a 1:1 for feeds and an App Store preview are four deliverables, not one.
- Revisions. Most quotes include 2–3 rounds. Changes after animation is done get expensive: Yum Yum Videos notes that reworking 20 seconds can add USD 2,000 or more.
- Music licensing. Stock or licensed music for commercial use, especially in paid ads, has to be covered somewhere.
- Timeline. Rush delivery commonly adds 25–50% at providers that work in weeks.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Is the price fixed, and what exactly does it include: script, voice, music, subtitles, which formats?
- How many revision rounds, and what does a change cost after that?
- Will the video show the inside of my product, or only my website?
- Who owns the video, and is the music licensed for ads?
- What does it cost to update the video when my interface or pricing changes, or to add a language?
- When does the timeline start: at the deposit, or after the script is approved?
How ShipFilms prices a product video
Our product videos start at USD 200 for up to 60 seconds. Two languages are included; the final price depends on the formats, extra languages and voices you need, and you get it fixed before anything starts. You pay 50% to begin and 50% when we hand over the final files. Updates and the monthly plan are quoted separately.
That price includes a concept made for your product, your real interface recreated in HD, a script built only from claims on your own website, voice, licensed music and subtitles, three rounds of revisions, and 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 cuts, plus App Store and Google Play previews for mobile apps. The full video arrives 24 hours after the deposit, once we have access to your app. It's yours once paid in full.
How we keep it affordable: each video is built as code. Another format, language or voice is a re-render rather than a new production, and when your UI changes the video can be updated in hours.
To be fair about it: if you need live action, a filmed founder story or hand-drawn character animation, an agency or a specialist animator is the right choice. We focus on one thing, short product videos built from your real interface. See what a SaaS product video includes.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 60-second SaaS explainer video cost?
Published ranges go from USD 29 with automated tools, through USD 500–8,000 with freelancers, to USD 10,000–50,000 with SaaS agencies. Ours start at USD 200 for up to 60 seconds, two languages included, with the final price depending on formats, extra languages and voices.
Why do agencies charge so much more?
You pay for a multi-person team over several weeks: strategy, scriptwriting, illustration, animation, sound and project management. For some projects that's worth it. Building each video as code lets us skip much of that manual production for short product videos.
Is a USD 29 automated video good enough?
For a quick test or a throwaway social post, it can be. For your homepage or a launch, the limits show: it works from screenshots of your website, not from inside your app, and it follows a template. Compare it with a free teaser of your own product and decide.
Does adding languages multiply the cost?
With most providers, yes, because each language is a new recording and edit. With us, adding a language to an existing video is a new native voice and a re-render, so it costs far less than the first video. It's included in your fixed quote.
Do revisions cost extra?
Most providers include 2–3 rounds and charge for more. Our price includes three rounds of revisions on the complete video.
What does it cost to update a product video later?
With traditional production, a UI change often means a new project. Because ours are built as code, we update the scenes that changed. Updates are quoted one at a time, or as a monthly plan that keeps the video current and adds a short video for each launch.
